2007
Establishment
AVANTALION Consulting Group was established in 2007 in Hamburg, Germany with a focus on business process and project management. The range of services offered was expanded in 2009 by introducing international expert consultancy for automotive finance. Only two years later, AVANTALION had served clients for the first time in more than five international project locations.
2012
Development
As a consequence of the continuously growing number of international projects and clients, AVANTALION Consulting Group opened its first international office in Asia in 2012. The development of AVANTALION was further accelerated in 2013 with the expansion of services for automotive clients and mobility services. 2014 marked the launch of business activities in the pharmaceutical industry and the establishment of AVANTALION Consulting Switzerland. Since then, AVANTALION is represented in 5 locations: Berlin, Bingen and Stuttgart (Germany), Lucerne (Switzerland) and Singapore.

Outlook
Today, AVANTALION is a specialized, international expert consultancy focused on the automotive finance, automotive retail, mechanical engineering and pharmaceutical industries. The methodological competencies today cover not only process and project management, but have been extended to topics such as requirements engineering, test management and IT management, as well as other related competencies. Since 2015, the systematic and continuous training of our experts has been further optimized with the introduction of a broad training curriculum consisting of more than 40 modules.

Thorsten Bossing
brings more than 15 years of intensive experience as a passionate entrepreneur, consultant and personnel development manager.
Following various professional appointments in executive positions with global corporations in the consumer goods, automotive and consulting industry, he co-founded AVANTALION Consulting Group in 2007.
His focus is mainly on process and project management topics as well as on finance for the Group.

Thomas Grözinger
has over 15 years of international experience in the roles of project manager and executive and managing director in the mechanical engineering and pharmaceutical industry.
After holding various executive positions in a globally operating mechanical engineering group as well as establishing and managing a pharmaceutical company in the area of pharmaceutical packaging, he joined AVANTALION Consulting Group in 2014.
He is primarily specialized in the areas of strategy, business planning and project management with focus on the mechanical engineering and pharmaceutical industries.

Simon Harris
has spent more than 30 years in the automotive and financial services industries and brings operational experience covering everything from vehicle and financial services sales, to back-office and call-centre management.
He has held a number of senior management positions in the UK and Germany, as well as gaining international and multi-national experience through a variety of project assignments, including tender management, vendor selection and IT-system implementations, before coming to AVANTALION in 2016.
His emphasis is on strategy and process management, focusing on the automotive, financial services and motor insurance industries.

Bijan Khashabian
brings more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, executive and consultant.
After holding managerial positions in various industries and following several years as a consultant, he worked for one of the world´s largest automotive financial services providers before he joined AVANTALION Consulting Group in 2009.
He supports his clients primarily in the areas of strategy, project and program management as well as international market entries.

Dr. Marco Heck
has several years of experience as project manager and executive in the automotive supplier industry.
Dr. Marco Heck gained a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Kaiserslautern, specializing in production management and general mechanical engineering. Along with several years as a company consultant, focusing on Lean Management and Risk Management, in 2003 he received his political science doctorate at the Technical University of Munich, winning the E.ON Energy Science Prize for the best dissertation in 2004.
After starting his career at MANN+HUMMEL, he worked as Lean Manager, Head of Quality and Head of Group Quality, implementing Lean concepts in Development and Production, as well as executing “zero error” programs. He subsequently took over the production center of filter elements and, in parallel, was responsible for two global lead teams for global production network control.
As Vice President Production, he is currently responsible for production and plant maintenance, including toolmaking, at the MANN+HUMMEL factory in Marklkofen.

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Janovsky
has consulted for over 20 years in the public and private sectors. Past clients include the World Bank, the OECD, the United Nations, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank as well as numerous national authorities and international corporations.
During his consulting career in Bad Homburg (Germany) and Sophia Antipolis (France), he also held the responsibility for establishing new business lines on a national and international scale. Following that, he joined the business economics faculty in Pforzheim (Germany) as a professor, where he initiated and led several MBA-programs in the field of consulting, among others.
In addition to his academic tasks, he is entrusted with numerous consulting assignments in the public and the private sector and is chairman of the supervisory board of AVANTALION Consulting Group AG.

Bruce Pon
Bruce Pon is an entrepreneur who has co-founded three companies and is an advisor to several others.
He is the CEO of BigchainDB, a blockchain company building a scalable, decentralized database to serve data-driven use cases across all industry sectors. Prior to BigchainDB, Bruce Pon specialized in building industrial banks, playing a role in the founding of 12 banks around the world for Daimler, Volkswagen, and Mitsubishi.
Bruce Pon has an Advanced Certificate from MITSloan and an Engineering Degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
